HARRISON FIREFIGHTERS PRESENTED WITH DISTINGUISHED UNIT CITATION FOR RESCUE OF INJURED CONSTRUCTION WORKER

On August 23, 2017, the Harrison Fire Department responded to a report of a construction worker who fell from the roof of a house under construction on Harrison Avenue. Upon his arrival, Chief John Masciola Jr. and members of the Department found that the worker had fell off the roof into the opening of the basement. Working with the Harrison EMS, members of our Department safely extricated the worker from the basement where he was then transported to a local hospital. In recognition of their outstanding efforts, Chief John Masciola and Mayor Ron Belmont presented the following members of the Department with Distinghuished Unit Citation Certificate and Uniform Ribbon to be worn on their Dress Uniforms.
